misc projects....

I wasn't happy with how the poncho for Justice's birthday present was knitting up, so I frogged it and started over with a bulky weight yarn and size 13 circs. I am loving how it's comming along. Here's a pic of what I have so far. I'm knitting 2 rectangles and sewing them togather when done to make the poncho. I'm thinking of adding a hood to it but I'm not sure if I want to do that, yet.

This started out to be a seat belt snuggle, but halfway through knitting it I figured it would be put to better use as a steering wheel cozy, so I don't burn my hands.

This is a head kerchief I knitted. I'm not one to wear these often (I do have a purple one I made that I do wear occasionally), so I'll give it to Justice.

My Shawl is Finished!

Finally....my shawl. It is a crochet pattern that I came up with after I got tired of looking for a simple, crocheted shawl pattern that I like. It's so simple that there are only 2 stitches used, a ch and sl st. The yarn I used is TLC Amore in Plum, and I used a size J (6.00mm) crochet hook.

Star Afghan Progress

Here's a pic of the star afghan I'm making for Hannah. I'm slowly making progress. You can look at the pic in my last post and see how much progress I've made in the past few days. I'm not sure just how big it will end up being. I will probably go until I'm out of the pink and grey yarn.

how many projects?!?

I am the type of person who enjoys having several projects going at once. Here are my current works in progress. Starting at the far left. the dark purple is a shawl I am crocheting for myself. I rarely knit or crochet something for myself. Next (multi colored yarn) is going to be a poncho for my niece, Justice. The next purple is a garter stitch elephant for my niece, Laney, a 1st birthday present. The star is an afghan I'm crocheting for Hannah, my 4 month old. The pink and white on the bottom is a scarf and hat set I am making for Justice's Christmas present.

Scarf for my sister

I made this for a birthday present for my sister. It's the knitty.com branching out scarf. I used a thicker yarn than the pattern calls for and I love the way it turned out. I am thinking of making another one for me, using the same yarn, bigger needles and making it 4 times wider. I guess we'll see on that, though, as I am behind om making Christmas presents.
